“Mary Most Holy, pray for us!” In suffering and/or anguish, this is a common plea to the Mother of Jesus from the depths of people’s heart. In our prayers, may we ask her to intercede on behalf of our requests with her Beloved son, Jesus.

Why to praise Holy Mary?

The extent of her spiritual strength was registered in the Gospel of Jesus: it portrays a life dedicated to the noble task of receiving in her womb the greatest Authority who has ever lived on this planet: Jesus, the Ecumenical Christ, the Divine Statesman.

Together, they overcame all the adversities they had to face. By her self-sacrifice, Mary is an important figure in the history of Mankind because She fully fulfilled what was assigned to her and supported the Divine Master in His sacrificial mission.

With regard to the Mother of Jesus, the President-Preacher of the Religion of God, of the Christ, and of the Holy Spirit,1 José de Paiva Netto, writes in his article A Mother’s Heart Does Not Flee From Her Son’s Pain:

"There will never be enough words when it comes to paying tribute to the Most Holy Mary, the Mother of Jesus, the Universal Mother of Humanity, for all the abnegation of her Spirit from the moment of the heavenly announcement of the Angel Gabriel, when the servant of God received the news that her womb would be the shelter of light for the Savior of all People (The Gospel according to Luke 1:26 to 38). Because she strongly believed in His Power and Authority, she encouraged Him to perform His first miracle at the wedding in Cana (The Gospel according to John 2:1 to 11). She saw the divine feats of Master Jesus grow and, good mother that she was and proud of the marvelous things she witnessed, “She treasured all these things in her heart” (The Gospel according to Luke 2:51). At the crucial moment of the Sublime Christic Mission, she courageously endured with her Beloved Son the indescribable martyrdom He experienced."

In addition to the perseverance that her examples instil in us, there are also many teachings on how to educate children and guide families. In receiving Christ Mary exemplifies the valuing of life right from its conception, for example.

In fact, in the Good News of the Divine Master according to Luke 1:46 to 55, we find a wonderful prayer that She uttered a few days after the Angel Gabriel announced the Birth of Jesus.

This is a clear example of trust in the Divine Protection, which never fails, even in the face of the greatest challenges.

Read these enlightened words of Mary, and which Paiva Netto has published in full in his book Ao Coração de Deus — Coletânea Ecumênica de Orações [To God’s Heart – An Ecumenical Collection of Prayers], pages 102 and 103:

The Magnificat: Mary's Song of Praise
(The Gospel of Jesus according to Luke 1:46 to 55)

My Soul glorifies the Lord,
And my Spirit rejoices in God my Savior;
for He has been mindful of the humble state of His servant.

From now on all generations will call me blessed,
for the Mighty One has done great things for me — holy is His Name!

His mercy extends to those who fear Him, from generation to generation.

He has performed mighty deeds with His arm;
He has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.

He has brought down rulers from their thrones
but has lifted up the humble.

He has filled the hungry with good things
but has sent the rich away empty.

He has helped His servant Israel, remembering to be merciful
to Abraham and his descendants forever, just as He promised our ancestors.

“Because She strongly believed in His Power and Authority, She encouraged Him to perform His first miracle,” and She was certainly aware of the important mission of the Divine Master.

This serves as an inspiration for parents and legal guardians to guide young children to fulfil their spiritual missions on Earth,2 thus doing Good for others.

Also, among the countless lessons from the passage about the crucifixion of Christ, for example, let us reflect on how the Mother of all Humanity encourages those who face obstacles when caring for those in their tutelage to persevere.

Difficulties may arise in the field of health, finance, or in the character building of each of them, but let us trust in the example of Mary to overcome everything by the power of Love.

To assimilate how deep her dedication was, we need to understand who Jesus is. In the chapter "The Divine Majesty of the Christ," Paiva Netto presents us  the answer in the Sagradas Diretrizes Espirituais da Religião de Deus, do Cristo e do Espírito Santo [Sacred Spiritual Guidelines of the Religion of God, of the Christ, and of the Holy Spirit], volume 1, page 123. In it, the author shares the concept brought by the late Brother Alziro Zarur, Proclaimer of the Divine Religion:

But who is Jesus?

It seems unbelievable to ask such a question, because everyone thinks they know who He is.

But who is Jesus? Few people know that Jesus is the Founder and Supreme Ruler of the Earth. Yes, I repeat, almost no one knows that Jesus is the greatest Scientist, the greatest Philosopher, the greatest Religious Being, the greatest Politician, the greatest Creating Genius of all time ever to step on this planet.”

In this way, the work of Christ continues in Spirituality, under His Divine Leadership and that of Mary, too.

Holy Mary’s Protection for those suffering in the Spiritual World

She is a Reference for Superior Spirituality, for her work continues in the Spiritual World, including protecting those who suffer severely from having committed suicide. That is why taking our own life is never a solution. Life is eternal, and suicide leads to serious consequences for the Spirit!

To support those who are suffering in the Spiritual World, She conducts “The Legion of the servants of Mary,” as reported in the book Memories of a Suicide by the Spirit Camilo Cândido Botelho, psychographed by medium Yvonne do Amaral Pereira.

The work was turned into a radio soap opera (in Portuguese) by the initiative of Paiva Netto. In reporting what suicidal spirits feel beyond the grave, it presents the horrors of premature death, and brings, therefore, an important lesson of regret and renewal.

The Most Holy Mother acts in the midst of this scenario of torment, anguish, and affliction. Under the command of this Noble Spirit, teams of workers from the Higher Spiritual World visit and rescue spirits in the Valley of Suicides, a place where those who, by trying to flee from their problems, actually remain alive on the “other side of life.”

Holy Mary: Self-sacrifice and Charity

In the book Sacred Spiritual Guidelines of the Religion of God, of the Christ, and of the Holy Spirit, volume 3, page 163, Paiva Netto presents extracts from a touching spiritual account:

“Overlying, however, the unfortunate collection of iniquities, on top of so much shame and such utter humiliation, there was the vigilant and compassionate paternal mercy of the Most High God, of the just and good Father who ‘does not wish sinners to die, but for them to live and repent. . . .’”

“Regularly, a unique caravan visited this den of shadows.

“It was like the inspection of some charitable association, a protective assistance of a humanitarian institution, whose unselfish aims could not be doubted. . . . Ladies were part of this caravan. The column, however, was preceded by a squad of lancers, as if opening the way for others, while various other militiamen with the same weapons surrounded the visitors as if weaving an isolation cordon. It made it clear that they were very well protected against any hostilities that might arise from the outside. With his right hand, the commanding officer raised a shining white pennant, on which was written in sky blue letters these extraordinary words, which had the effect of instilling irrepressible and singular fear: Legion of the servants of Mary.”

____________
Religion of God, of the Christ, and of the Holy Spirit — also called the Religion of the Third Millennium, and the Religion of Universal Love. This is the Ecumenical Religion of Brazil and the world.

2 Spiritual Agenda — The Religion of Universal Love teaches that no one is born on Earth without a purpose to their existence. The Heavenly Educator Himself, Jesus, gave us His example: “For I have come down from Heaven not to do my will but to do the will of Him who sent me” (The Gospel according to John 6:38). Therefore, each one of us, before we are reincarnated on Earth, assumes in the spiritual world—our homeland of origin—a set of commitments, situations, and challenges that make up our Spiritual Agenda.
