By Walter Periotto – He is a journalist and worked as a LGW’s representative in the United States of America in the 80’s.

Let’s think that we went to visit a city. Instead of staying in the best places, we look for the dirtiest and nasty places. What should we do when we come back to our clean and well-groomed house? We have to get off all the mud from our bodies and get clean.

Well, the house we are always coming back is our true home, the Spiritual World. The city we visited is Earth. Now choosing the cleanest or dirtiest places to attend is an option of free will we have when we are incarnated. The purgatory is a place where we can clean and purify ourselves, if in need before we enter Heaven. But there are many Spirits that stay years, even centuries, unfortunately purging the ills that have accumulated, because the dirty in not external, it’s in the mind of each person. And many times the being has to reincarnate to keep purging.

The Divine Religion explains that we are the ones who build Heaven and hellhole by our thoughts because they are the reflection of what we have in our Souls. And everything starts in our thoughts. So, if the human being thinks badly and is naughty what they want? The Divine Justice doesn’t fail. Jesus made that clear in his Holy Gospel:

"Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." (the Gospel according to Matthew 26:41)

Check this: the Spiritual Brother Flexa Dourada (Golden Arrow) used to say that “thought is a channel.” So, if a person spends their entire life doing the wrong thing, living under a bad ambiance, when they arrive at the other side it’s only fair that they will come across the same vibrational ambiance.  The Divine Master left that lesson for both lives in Heaven and Earth:

“and then He will reward each person according to what he has done.” (the Gospel according to Matthew 16:27)

Our presence on Earth it should be for us to live properly with our family, being citizens of Good. The Heavenly Father did not send His child to the world to suffer or cause any pain. We came to sow Love and that starts in our home, looking after our parents, brothers, husband or wife, children, neighbors and so on. But the person who hardens the heart on evil already starts channeling the umbral inside of them. Living for Good it’s the most beautiful option in life.

But we don’t want to scare anyone. It’s just an alert. Let’s follow the advice of prophet Isaiah (55:6) when he said:

“Seek the Lord while he may be found, call him while he is near.”

Therefore, we are in full agreement with the distinguished Brother Dr. Bezerra de Menezes (Spirit) that, from the sensitivity of the Legionnaire Brother Chico Periotto, told us that “Purgatory is also Charity.” Brother José de Paiva Netto wrote to many publications that God doesn’t punish anyone but His Law, Justice, and Mercy don’t let us to eternally make mistakes. Brother Paiva also opened Ecumenical Churches of the Religion of God, of the Christ, and of the Holy Spirit that he calls “a Divine School of Spiritual Initiation on eternal things, with its doors open to everyone." And he always guides us to say a prayer before laying to rest. That’s why we dedicate the touching prayer by Francis of Assisi (1181-1226), the Patron Saint of the Legion of Good Will:

“Lord, make me an instrument of Your Peace;/ Where there is hate, allow me to spread Love;/ Forgiveness, where there is wrong;/ Faith, where there is doubt;/ Truth, where there is lie;/ Hope, where there is despair;/ Light, where there is darkness;/ Union, where there is disharmony;/ Joy, where there is sadness.

“Oh Divine Master!/ Grant that I may not so much seek/ To be consoled as to console;/ To be understood as to understand;/ To be loved as to love;/ For it is in giving that we receive;/ It is in forgiving that we are forgiven;/ And it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.”
