On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, celebrated on January 1st, the volunteer team of the Department of Spiritual Assistance of the Religion of God, of the Christ, and of the Holy Spirit, in the USA, engaged in two visits to the Belleville Senior Health Services, in NJ. On the occasion, they brought not just material assistance, but also spiritual warmth to the elderly community.

The day’s program included ecumenical prayers, songs, and activities, fostering a sense of community and togetherness. Mrs. Eve Wilson, a patient at the center, showed her appreciation during the event:

“Everything was beautiful. I just thank God for you all coming to be with us, taking time out just to come and visit us. Thank you! . . . Love is the greatness of all. It invites us to come together and just love each other. To share that Love is the best thing in the world. . . . Jesus gave His life, sacrificed Himself just for us. So we can’t afford to be unfaithful or ungrateful, because He loves us, and He woke us up.”

Going above and beyond, the volunteers have also distributed hygiene kits, generously donated by the compassionate members of the Newark community. It was a beautiful demonstration of Good Will and unity, reminding us that GOD IS PRESENT, and JESUS LIVES IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER!
