As the Temple of Good Will celebrates its 28th anniversary (on October 21), it inspires us to achieve the deep and true happiness that comes from the connection that each human being has with the Heavenly Father. In the Monument of Ecumenical Spirituality, one of the Seven Wonders of Brasília/DF, Brazil—as the TGW is also known—we find environments full of Peace, strength, and spiritual comfort, which inspire us to seek the best in ourselves, in order to fulfill our role as citizens, as parents, children, and professionals, based on Fraternity and Perseverance, as exemplified by Jesus.
To celebrate yet another year of existence as “a roof for humanity,” the Temple of Peace is holding its traditional anniversary event , which occurs in October. This year it is discussing the theme: “Jesus, our Road map to Happiness.” Various activities will be taking place for a whole month as a tribute to the Monument. On Saturday, October 21, a solemn session closed these celebrations, with the words of the Founder of the TGW, José de Paiva Netto.

TGW’s anniversary program
The program includes musical shows, choir recitals, talks, prayers, and other special events. Among them is the Ecumenical Chain of Prayers, which takes place every day, at 6 pm in the Nave of the TGW, when the health of people and families suffering from breast cancer is prayed for because of International Day against Breast Cancer (October 19).
The exhibition of works of art in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, the Patron Saint of the Legion of Good Will (LGW) was open to visitors in the Noble Room, as is the Cultural and Artistic Exhibition The Apocalypse of Jesus for the Simple-Hearted in the Art Gallery.
The rooms of the Temple of Good Will:

According to studies, the crystal purifies the environment by catalyzing higher energies that fall on those entering the locale and it facilitates chromotherapy — healing through colors.(Foto: André Fernandes)Mandala - The late German plastic artist Ula Hansell left, as a legacy to the TGW, a majestic panel in crystal, with some parts in marble, on two planes. The inside of the Mandala represents the Total Ecumenism, proposed by the LGW (a circle in which all the fields of human activity meet in God, passing through Goodwill). The other side of this work of art represents the Human Being's search for spiritual elevation.(Foto: Lucian Fagundes)Egyptian Room — in a welcoming environment, dedicated to silence, pilgrims can meditate in search of the Soul’s equilibrium, good energies, strengthening Faith, and maintaining positive thoughts. All those who visit it can enjoy a place that brings the history and culture of the Egyptian civilization portrayed in figures, paintings, sculptures, and furniture of that time.(Foto: André Fernandes)The Sacred Fountain of the TGW is a place highly appreciated by visitors. The locale is an exaltation of Nature and of water. In the center is a French sculpture from the 18th century, made in bronze, representing Jesus, the Ecumenical Christ, blessing all those who pass by.(Foto: Clayton Ferreira)Sacred Fountain — This is a place of high prestige because of the therapeutical power of its water. Originating from an artesian well, this precious liquid passes through several filters, crosses the Nave of the TGW, receiving the energies from the crystal, until it pours into the fountain.(Foto: Nicole Angel)The TGW’s Art Gallery is an area of 570 square meters for exhibitions, recitals, book launches, and various forms of artistic expression by both well-known and new artists from Brazil and abroad. It is a place dedicated to the humanization of knowledge through art.(Foto: Lucian Fagundes)

“Jesus, our Road map to Happiness”
Since ancient times, Human Beings have been searching true happiness. There are many challenges on this journey, however, when it comes to finding happiness, because life’s difficulties—the hectic pace of the present day and so many other situations that we face—may give the feeling that it is far away. We must understand, however, that this feeling is, above all, a state of mind and can be very present despite the problems we are experiencing.
In fact, finding happiness and joy in our lives are precisely the encouragement we need for overcoming each adversity on the path. This is when Jesus, the Ecumenical Christ, the Divine Statesman, offers us valuable lessons, like Fraternity without restrictions, respect, forgiveness, and love for our fellow beings, which guide us towards true happiness in such a way that individuals find the sense of happiness in themselves. Jesus Himself stated in His Gospel according to John 15:11: “I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.”
