We learn in the Religion of God, of the Christ, and of the Holy Spirit1 that Guardian Angels are Heavenly Spirits who are in the service of Jesus and work for the Good of Humanity. They are present in our life and inspire us to make the right choices, to face up to challenges with courage, and to live the Divine Love at all times, as the Christ of God Himself taught us.
These Angels—Guardian Deities, Blessed Souls, Spirits of Light—are also always present in the Biblical narrative, above all in the Apocalypse of Jesus, the last book in the Holy Bible. Only in the Book of the Final Prophecies, these dedicated Friends of the Spiritual World are mentioned 80 times. There, John the Evangelist and Prophet was able to describe a very strong connection between Humanity’s trajectory and the Higher Spiritual World, presenting the way in which the Guardian Angels monitor the fulfillment of prophetic facts. They seek to communicate with us and warn us of the consequences of our actions, whether good or bad.
In fact, it was an Angel who delivered the last book of the Holy Canon to John: “The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending His Angel to His servant John, who testifies to everything he saw—that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.” (The Apocalypse 1:1-2)
As we see in the Apocalypse, the Angels are continuously working and performing some kind of activity for the benefit of human existence. So they do not randomly intervene or intrude if they are not invited. “After this I saw four Angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land, or on the sea, or on any tree.” (The Apocalypse 7:1)
The Religion of the Third Millennium tells us that this spiritual help has a Divine teaching purpose, triggered by the testimony of Love of the Christ of God Himself for Humanity. Because of this and other examples, José de Paiva Netto, the President-Preacher of the Religion of Universal Love, calls Jesus the “Ecumenical Christ, the Divine Statesman,” and affirms that the Divine Master is “the best Guardian Angel.”
That is why it is so necessary to give due importance to the Book of Revelation, which the Divine Master offered to Humanity. As one of the greatest scholars of the Apocalypse nowadays, Paiva Netto illustrates the spiritual magnitude of this work. “This is not a book based on human effort, but upon a Revelation of God the Father by way of the testimony of Christ (the Son) who uses an Angel’s mediation, which, as we know, is part of the Holy Spirit. In other words: that splendid group of evolved beings, who serve Jesus in His government of the planet Earth, which He created—as we have already studied—on the orders of the Supreme Father” (extract from his book As Profecias sem Mistério [The Prophecies without Mystery], part of the collection O Apocalipse de Jesus para os Simples de Coração [The Apocalypse of Jesus for the Simple at Heart]).
FROM WARNINGS TO PROPHECIES OF DEEP HAPPINESS
The Angels also announce difficult times for Humanity in the Apocalypse. This is no easy task because, despite all the efforts to help us, they cannot interfere with our free will. But the prophetic book was not written to make us afraid or deceive us. If we lead our life under the Laws of God, we shall see times of victory, recovery, honesty, respect, and a more fraternal and fairer reality for all.
There is no doubt that the Angels of God feel happy to take part in occasions like this: “Then one of the seven Angels who had the seven bowls full of the last seven plagues came and said to me, ‘Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb of God.’ And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.” (The Apocalypse 21:9-11)
This beautiful description motivates us to live these ideals in our daily lives and contribute towards building such reality. Let us rely on the support and intuition of our Guardian Angels to improve our attitudes, and to let us know how to pay due attention to what Christ has revealed to us in His Apocalypse.
“The last Book of the Holy Bible is pure prophecy; it is not threatening. This is the Revelation we need for combatting the spiritual ignorance of creatures, and so it is not an unfathomable enigma. This Divine Precept, as we have already seen in the opening verses (The Apocalypse 1:1), came from God by way of the Christ and of the Holy Spirit, who are Blessed Souls that help administer the planet, and from whom Jesus chose an Angel to take to John His fraternal warning to the nations. Therefore, it must be taken as seriously as it should be, and not as a joke, a novel, or a tale of terror. Everything that is described in it will happen in its entirety,” emphasized Paiva Netto in his book Jesus, a Dor e a origem de Sua Autoridade — o Poder do Cristo em nós [Jesus, the Pain and Origin of His Authority — the Power of Christ within Us].
