What is needed to solve a couple’s disagreement or a family quarrel? What does it take to put an end to all the violence there is in the world and overcome every type of pain that afflicts humanity? Among the possible solutions, living with Good Will is an important step to take.

We invite you to say the Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi―the Patron of the Legion of Good Will (LGW)―because it expresses all the desire we have to develop this firm, determined will, to do what is right and fair in any situation.

Through this beautiful prayer, let us elevate our thoughts, realize that our suffering is not fatalism and that we’re highly capable of overcoming it.

Stop for a moment and pray with us!

Watch this beautiful tribute paid by the Good Will Ecumenical Children and Youth Choir performing the well-known Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi. This Brazilian version will really touch your heart:

Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi

Music by Nilton Duarte
Sung by Lauane Mariano and the Good Will Ecumenical Children’s Choir from the cities of Brasília and Campinas, Brazil.
Violin Solo by Liliane Dias
Conductor: Angélica Carneiro

Lord,
Make me an instrument of Your Peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow Love;
forgiveness, where there is injury;
faith, where there is doubt;
truth, where there is lie;
hope, where there is despair;
light, where there is darkness;
union, where there is disharmony;
joy, where there is sadness.

O Divine Master!
Grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in forgiving that we are forgiven;
And it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
